Page 3 of 5: Drill 2
Have a real doll or teddy bear or something in front of you to be a terminal you can say things to. Don't just talk out into open space and imagine someone or something there.
- This is Drill 2. Imagine some situation where it would be appropriate, and then say in as natural a tone as you can, "I'm sure those are not the right words".
- Click on Drill 2. You will hear the student say, "As you wish", in a manner that ends the communication cycle.
- Grade the student's action by saying aloud "Flunk! It didn't continue the cycle. Start!".
- Enter your coaching grade into the computer by clicking on the "Student gave ack that ended cycle--Flunk" link.
- Note the "Correct" grade given to your coaching action, and close out the movie.
- Repeat these steps if you need to.
