TR-2 as Student: Section 1
Page 3 of 3: Drill 5
You will again be making and reviewing short recordings of your voice. Refer back to the instructions page if you need to. It is a waste of time to try and do these drills here without a microphone.
- Now you are going to practise giving an acknowledgement properly.
- Play Drill 5, and hear the same line. Start the recorder, and record an acknowledgement that does end the cycle of communication, as best you can.
- Listen to the recording. Practise a few times if you want, but don't overdo it in trying to get it perfect for right now. Note to yourself that it ends the cycle (more or less) and would tend to make the other person satisfied that his communication had gotten across and he didn't need to say more on that subject for now.
- Click the "Good" link next to Drill 5, and note the "Good". Close the movie window.
- Repeat the above steps again if needed until you are familiar with this procedure.
- Click "End of drilling for now" and hear the coach say, "That's it". Now you are no longer drilling, but you should continue with this TRs 0-4 program until you reach the end of this time period you set for yourself.
